GALVANISED MILD STEEL LASER CUTTING
We are one of the UK’s largest suppliers of laser cut pre galvanised mild steel. We typically cut thicknesses from 0.8mm to 5mm. Galvanised mild steel is extremely popular as it can be a cheaper option than other corrosion resistant metal.
The use of galvanised mild steel is widely used in the construction industry for structural bracketry, plates and drainage equipment. Our approval to EN 1090 CE Marking is especially important to the construction industry where it is a legal requirement for laser cut parts to be fully traceable under the CE marking legislation.
We are also able to arrange for either the ‘hot dipping’ or ‘electro galvanised’ post laser cutting, should this be required using our approved suppliers. This extra process is usually required when thickness exceeds 5mm.
GALVANISED MILD STEEL LASER CUTTING AT A GLANCE
This video shows our L50. 4kw Trumpf Laser cutting machine processing 0.5mm thick galvanised steel. Each of these parts will be assembled to create engineered smoke fumigation systems for operation across various sectors; such as farming, pest control and health services. Our state of the art Fibre laser machine allows us to Laser cut these at roughly 35 metres per minute with a burr free finish. The addition of using the ‘Flyline’ system within this machine, which in essence means the cutting head traverses at a reduced height from the bed. Ensures our prices to remain competitive, without ever jeopardising overall finished part quality.
